What is Dementia Care?
Many care homes provide specialist dementia care to those who have been diagnosed with the condition. Dementia commonly affects part of the brain including the ability to remember, think critically or communicate with others. No matter a person’s progression, they will eventually need full-time dementia care. It often gets to a point when a loved one is no longer able to look after someone due to the condition worsening and struggling to meet their demanding needs.
A dedicated dementia care team will provide person centred care within a warm and welcoming setting. Assistance is provided with any task a resident may need help with, which may be more for some than others. It’s important that those living with dementia feel relaxed and content with others and their environment, therefore dementia care homes are thoughtfully furnished to be considerate of those that can be affected by their surroundings.

Residential Care
Residential care is offered to individuals who are no longer able to upkeep their household or personal regime as easily as they once could. Many people as they get older prefer to live in a residential care facility because it provides them with security, social opportunities, and ongoing support each day. Residents can benefit from group living while not having the responsibility of everyday chores including cleaning, washing, cooking for meal times or any administrative duties.
Residential care is designed to enhance a person’s social and emotional well-being. We believe providing care is more than just meeting basic care requirements; it’s about caring for the individual as a whole, and supporting residents in leading a high quality of life. Every resident receives a personalised care package to ensure we provide the best care through a person centred approach. We encourage residents to do the things they enjoy most each day, just as they normally would in their own home.

Nursing Care
We provide comprehensive nursing care to those who require 24-hour medical care and personal care. This type of care is the most effective care option for individuals who may have physical disabilities, high dependency needs, or living with long-term health conditions and illnesses.
Residents who reside at our care home will receive the highest standards of nursing care and support from our professional nursing team no matter the time of the day or night. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels comfortable and satisfied, and with the support of our team, we encourage residents to use the many services and amenities available to them.

Respite Care
Short-term care comes in the form of respite care, and provides those caring for their loved ones with the opportunity to have a break from their caregiving duties. Our staff will care for their loved ones to the highest degree and ensure all health and well-being needs are addressed.
This type of care is also suited to those who need help with daily tasks following a recent illness or injury. Residents can take the time they need to fully recover before returning to their normal lives. Additionally, this care option can be used to trial a care home for a few weeks before deciding whether to move in permanently.
