Our kind and knowledgeable staff are trained to recognise and respond to a wide range of medical conditions, allowing them to provide individualised care 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Respite Care is subject to availability.

What is Respite Care?

Respite Care is a short-term care alternative that allows primary carers to take scheduled and unscheduled breaks from their responsibilities or for those who need time out from their daily lives following an illness or operation. Our respite packages give you the time you need while knowing your loved one is in good hands.

A respite stay can last for a few weeks to several months, depending on each individual’s needs. Respite care is ideal for those needing to fully recover before resuming their usual routines or a person can use respite care as a trial stay to see if a care home is the right choice for them in the future.

Respite Care FAQs

Beechgrove Care Home offers respite care to individuals in need of short-term support. This temporary care option is designed to provide recovery assistance and help with daily activities, offering a valuable break for primary caregivers. Additionally, for those considering full-time care, respite care can serve as a trial period, allowing individuals to experience our home for up to four weeks to determine if it’s the right long-term fit for them or their loved ones.

Our care services are available to all of our residents, no matter their length of stay. During a resident’s stay, the individual can expect to stay in their own bedroom, enjoy daily meals and refreshments, activities and entertainment, access to our in-house facilities, and support with activities of daily living. Depending on the care needs of the individual, nursing care may also be provided.

The length of stay for respite care will depend on the individual’s needs and the availability of beds. At Beechgrove Care Home, a minimum length of stay of 3 weeks is necessary to allow residents to feel settled and get the most out of our support.
