Celebrating National Ice Cream Day 

On the 17th of July, the residents at Beechgrove Care Home celebrated National Icecream Day with a special visit from the ice cream van. The afternoon consisted of the residents discussing their favourite flavours of ice cream as well as their choice of toppings. It became apparent that the most popular flavour was the soft and fluffy ice cream with raspberry sauce as it was a winner for most of the residents!

With the recent good weather and the celebrations of National ice cream day, it had conversations flowed as the residents reminisced on past days spent at the beach during the summer holidays with their children and even back to their very own childhood days.

At Beechgrove Care Home in Lanark our team go above and beyond to ensure that no two days are the same and our residents always have something to look forward to. Whether it’s celebrating special events such as National ice cream day, making full use of the wonderful facilities we have to offer or even venturing out and exploring the wonderful area of Lanark, our residents are never short on things to do. 

As part of our varied activities programme at Beechgrove Care Home, our residents regularly participate in a number of games and activities. Our activities programme is specifically tailored towards our resident's much-loved hobbies and interests as well as ensuring they have the opportunity to try something new. 

Our activities programme is designed to build and develop new connections within our care home whilst enhancing the independence of our residents and creating a welcoming and homely environment.
