Elvis, Ukuleles and Smiles at Beechgrove

Beechgrove Care Home had a truly remarkable day recently, filled with music, laughter, and joyful camaraderie. We were thrilled to welcome “Elvis” - a fantastic tribute act who went down a storm with residents and staff alike. It was a breath of fresh air, offering something completely different and memorable. Residents from Crosslaw House Care Home joined us, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Many got into the Elvis spirit, dressing up with themed face masks, glasses, and props, creating a lively and fun-filled afternoon. Although sadly Elvis had to leave eventually, the smiles and songs lingered long after his departure.

Continuing the musical celebrations, we were also entertained by our local ukulele band, who returned to bring a varied repertoire of tunes that truly resonated with the residents. Their performances encourage everyone to sing and dance along, creating an uplifting and inclusive community experience.

Additionally, Colin has become a beloved regular visitor, captivating us with his wide-ranging musical talents. Whether it’s timeless classics or familiar favourites, Colin’s performances never fail to bring joy and energy to Beechgrove.

These events underscore the power of music to bring people together, create happy memories, and brighten our days. We look forward to welcoming more exciting entertainers and sharing many more wonderful afternoons ahead.
