The Awards Ceremony was hosted on the evening of Friday 18 November 2022 at Hilton Glasgow. A few of the Beechgrove team attended the awards ceremony including Lynsey who all had their fingers crossed for the night.

Lynsey is absolutely delighted to have been nominated for both awards by her fellow colleagues, residents and families and can’t thank everyone enough for their support and kind words. Lynsey stated that despite not winning one of the awards she was over the moon to have been in finals and was up against some outstanding care workers.

Lynsey

Lynsey began working at Beechgrove Care home in September 2020 at the height of the pandemic as a Domestic Assistant. It was clear very early on for all to see that Lynsey would make an excellent Care Assistant, Lynsey’s compassion, willingness to help and understanding of our resident’s needs were outstanding, and she was persuaded to transfer her skills to becoming a Care Assistant in June 2021. From there Lynsey quickly and competently completed her SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

Her development in her caring role went from strength to strength and it was decided in September this year 2022 that she should be promoted to Senior Care Assistant. Following this, Lynsey has proved herself in this role and the Beechgrove management has demonstrated their recognition through these fantastic awards nominations.

Maggie, the Home Manager at Beechgrove said the following about Lynsey: "As a Home Manager, I am proud of Lynsey that she has achieved so much in her career at Beechgrove Care Home in a short period of time and is a shining example to our team and any new starts in the home. Despite the last few years being difficult Lynsey has embraced her role as a care assistant right through to becoming a senior carer and continues to work hard to ensure we deliver care to a high standard to our residents and support to our team members."
